Edit12Step

Edit will be open continuously from 5PM on December 31st thru the 12 AM New Year count down to welcome the New Year and then through the night until 9AM the following morning to help encourage everyone seeking a continued day of sobriety on a night the many others celebrate with alcohol or drugs.  We offer a safe and warm refuge from the temptations that can beset us on this celebratory night.

Come join your fellow sober celebrants with meeting held almoat hourly or just relax in front of the fireplace.  Some refreshments and plenty of coffee or tea will be available.

Edit By-Laws provide that an Annual Meeting of the Membership of Edit, Inc. be held each January after 30 Days notice.  All members are welcome to attend and present any concerns to the Board of Directors at that time.

New members of the Board (and a recognition of the retiring members) will be held at that time as well as elections of Board Officers for the calendar year.

Any person seeking recovery from addiction, attending meetings at Edit and considering themselves as a member of the Club is welcome to attend and share with the Board and other members.

All meetings of the Board (4th Monday of each month) are open to any member and all members input is appreciated.  If you cannot attend a meeting, our email (edit12step@gmail.com) is available.

Join us for an open house on December 15th, 16th and 17th during normal meeting hours.  The Club provides turkey and ham and asks for help with side dishes.  You can help by signing up at the coffee bar to provide a side or cook a turkey or ham.

Our by-laws provide for the election of three Board members each year and we do this during the open house.  If you are interested in serving your compatriots in addiction – AA, CA, or Al-Anon – please sign up at the coffee bar.  If you consider yourself a member of the Edit Club and have at least a year’s sobriety, you are eligible.  Board members determine the activities at the club help ensure the efficient operation of the club.

45TH OPEN HOUSE

We have a new Women’s open AA meeting starting at 6 PM on Sunday nights with electric candles (fire department is really picky) and invite all women interested in attending a meting founded upon the Hazeldon “24 Hours a Day” app.

Edit will host the 2023 Chili Cook-off on October 21!!  Please attend and listen to a TBD speaker, socialize and meet the friend(s) you didn’t know you had and sample some of the best chili made by our members  AA/CA/Al-Anon.  Better yet, bring your favorite chili or Mexican food dish and impress everyone attending.  Your entry can win a trophy for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place!!

Contributions (tax deductible) can be brought to Edit  beginning the Thursday before Saturday and will be greatly appreciated.

BBQ (hamburger and hot dogs) will be available beginning at 11:30 to 1:30.  Chips and a drink will be included for a reasonable price.

We have paused our speaker meeting on the first Saturday of the month as we are in need of a person(s) to coordinate the activity by finding and scheduling speakers and supervising volunteers to set up the room for the event.  This position can be several persons that have an interest in ensuring that speakers have a forum to present their experience in achieving sobriety through the 12 Steps.
