Want to get out of the house? Tired of Zoom’s? Want to see a really good movie about alcohol with some really neat AA folks. Join us at 4:30 PM on Sunday May 16th, 2021 and we will screen Denzel Washington in “Flight”on the big TV in the Honesty Room. We have popcorn to share and we do social distancing with masks to try to make sure we will survive until the next movie night. Details of the film and a synopsis can be found at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1907668/
Several groups/meetings have resumed having in-person meetings at Edit. “The meeting that Transcends” is the latest (Sunday at 5PM), Cease Fighting (CA) (2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturday at 8PM), andSpirit of Recovery has been doing a hybrid each weekday at 5PM. Even with more people getting vaccinated, we still insist on masks and social distancing (the rooms are set up for this) until we get more guidance from the State of Colorado. Read the list on the home page for all in person meetings and https://edit12step.com/edit-aa-online-phone-meetings-happening-and-how-to-get-one-for-your-meeting/ for the hybrid or on-line meetings for groups that have been at Edit in the past (and who we hope return soon). Beginners is doing a small Book Study on Tuesdays (bring your own Big Book if you have one, please).
Coffee is available in non-recyclable cups for our traditional price of $1.00 (cash or Venmo) and we ask for 7th Tradition donations via a donation bucket in the room, Venmo, or Paypal (checks for the Benefactors club or we can help you set up a recurring, monthly transfer from your credit card or bank account).
Spring is here (enjoy the rain or snow – we need the moisture!)
Edit wants to bring back Movie Night with AA movies! Come see “My Name is Bill” and meet some of your fellow AA’ers outside of the meeting format and enjoy James Woods and James Garner with JoBeth Williams in the story of the beginnings of the AA Way. It’s on our big TV in the Honesty Room. Coffee will be available in the earliest of the AA traditions.
Due to the excess of moisture falling from the sky in the form of wet and heavy snow this weekend, Edit will not be open on Monday, March 15th, 2021. We hope to be back open on Tuesday after the parking lot and sidewalks get plowed.
We will announce further closings (if necessary) via this blog so sign up to get notified on the sign-up section on the right-hand side of the page.
Spirit of recovery has resumed meeting at 5:30 PM (ofter work?) and is meeting both in-person and on a Zoom call (called a hybrid meeting). They are using the big TV monitor in the HonestyRoom to display the Zoom participants and you can join eith in person or on the Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/88261876411
Coffee is available, the meeting is each weekday and social distancing and mask requirements help protect against Covid-19
See you there???!!!!!

If you can’t attend but wish to contribute anyway, please visit https://edit12step.com/support-the-edit-club/ to find all the ways to help us stay open through this trying time.
Spirit of Recover is suspending meeting until their Group Conscience Meeting (1st Thursday of December).
Subscribe to this website (at the right side of this age) to receive the latest news from this website. The club will be open at 5 PM for anyone who wishes to meet at 5:30 as a non-SOR group.
Edit, due to the pandemic and need to social distance inside the club, has suffered a drastic drop in contributions supporting the effort to be a safe and pleasant place for 12-step groups to meet. Many people have stepped up to help with larger than usual contributions but we are still having to dip into the prudent reserve in a non-trivial way to meet the basic day-to-day costs that go on even if we have only a few people attending a meeting.
If you have the means during these rough economic times to contribute more than you have in the past or the wherewithal to continue your generous support, please visit the https://edit12step.com/support-the-edit-club/ web page or the home page edit12step.com and contribute through Venmo (no cost to us), PayPal (costs us 2%), or send a check or visit us at the edit address.
Contributions to Edit are tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Even if you do not itemize deductions for a long-form IRS 1040 for your Federal taxes, Colorado will allow you to list a deduction on your Colorado Income Tax Form (104) and reduce your Colorado taxes that way.
Edit is now back to offering our famous(?) blends of decaf or caffeinated coffee during meetings for the low, low price of $1.00 per cup with free refills if you are attending a meeting. Disposable cups are used and creamer and sugar (or non-sugar) are in individual packets (and stir sticks) to help with preventing Covid-19 issues.
The Edit Home Page has the latest schedule for you. We have adjusted the evening hours to accommodate several some groups and Spirit of Recovery has resumed meeting at the club as well as updating their Zoom link for a hybrid meeting (Old Farts and Transcend also hold hybrid meetings on Wednesday (Old Farts) and Sunday (Transcend). A new meeting on Saturday for CA (Cease Fighting) is on the schedule and the Edit Speaker’s Meeting will resume on the 1st Saturday of the month beginning September 5th. Stay tuned for more as we adjust to the pandemic as best we can.
