Speakers Meeting – April 4th, 2020 – Cancelled!!

Due to the restrictions on meeting imposed because of the Covid-19 Virus, the Speaker’s Meeting is cancelled for April but we hope the meetings will be able to be resumed in May. Stay safe and keep the safe-distance in mind (6 feet). When we return, consider purchasing an EIDT logo cup to help support the club because we have little or no income from meetings during the shutdown.

Missing a Phone list for your EDIT meeting?

IF one was not available or you were caught by surprise by EDIT’s suspension of operations (Geek Speak for “temporarily closed”), email edit12step.com and we will email one to you if we have it. (Not all groups have furnished us with one.)  We are not posting them here so we can try to help keep the lists to people on the groups.

EDIT open? Yes!!

EDIT will remain open for all meetings unless closed by decree of the State or local authorities to serve those who still suffer from an alcohol or other addiction.

We are cleaning all surfaces and doorknobs after each meeting to kill virus’s etc. We ask that people with coughs, temperatures, or who think they have been exposed to the Covid-19 virus to refrain from attending meetings for at least 14 days.

There are meetings online if you search for them and we have put out flyers about how meetings can set up virtual phone or visual meetings using their devices. Please ask if your group is interested in doing so and maybe we can help with technical advice.

We anticipate that 7th Tradion contributions and coffee sales will suffer during these times, so if you can pleas increase the amount you put in the 7th Tradition basket or contribute on this website under the url Support Edit link, we would appreciate the support to help keep us open and paying our bills. Instead of $1.00, maybe $2.00 or $3.00 would halp make up the probable deficits.

Wash your hands frequently, be aware of the symptoms of the Covid-19 virus and be safe.

EDIT is open during during the Covid-19 Crisis!

EDIT intends to stay open to serve our 12-Step groups by disinfecting (as best we can with bleach and other disinfecting treatments) the surfaces in the club and bathrooms after each meeting. We are encouraging all members to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds as per the CDC recommendations.

If you have a cough or feel you have a fever, please refrain from attending meetings until you have been screened/tested for the virus in keeping with being “your fellow persons keeper”.

We will monitor the status of groups that wish to suspend meetings for the duration of the crisis and notify you of their status on this web site. Following us will ensure you get information in a timely fashion.
